Good news for GoPro users. Yes, the updated GoPro app will automatically drag the footage directly from the GoPro camera to the smartphone. Now, it is simple to access and enjoy your GoPro photos and videos. GoPro's new feature called “QuikStories” will automatically import your video footage and create awesome videos synced to music in just a few clicks.
How does GoPro's Quick Stories help you?
It will be easier to create and share epic videos with Quik. You can choose a wide range of soundtracks and can auto upload your photos and videos to the cloud to edit and enjoy on your phone-anytime, anywhere.
This feature is available to the Hero 5 users and works with the latest camera, the Hero5 or Hero 5 Session. Hero 4 users may not be able to use this feature. They have to import their footage in the old –fashioned way.
Because of the instant upload features, users are submitting their videos from smartphones on these channels even though GoPro is a mainstay of YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram with its own channel.
Key Features:
- · NEW Add photos and time lapse sequences to your videos and see them come to life with panning effects
- · With just a few clicks, you can create awesome videos synced to music
- · Auto uploads to the cloud and unlocks additional soundtracks when you subscribe to GoPro Plus3
- · You can attach gauges and graphs to your videos
- · It will automatically import and sort out your photos and videos
- · You can be able to create and share short video clips
- · It is possible to easily view and edit burst and time lapse photos
- · It comes bundled with GoPro Studio for more advanced editing
How it works:
Using the GoPro app, you have to pair the camera to the smartphone via the GoPro Wi-Fi. After paring, shoot some footage or click photos on the Hero5. Then with the camera on and phone in your hand, open the GoPro app and wait to see the signal that it recognizes the new footage. After that, smart phone download comes. This may take some time.
QuikStory is placed as the app to make automatic, quick edits beyond the footage transfer. The GoPro editors will work with automatic slide shows or videos in 30 different editing styles after selecting the images. It is the best substitute to Apple's iMovie, which is free with iPhones, or many of the other editing apps, like Adobe Premiere Clip, Magisto or Splice.
And also, you can sort or change the order of the photos and videos. You can also choose your own music, or go without music. You can also add text and effects such as slow motion and so on. Any footage or photo on your smartphone will work with the app.
Note: After finishing your video, you have to save it to the Camera Roll. GoPro does so in low resolution. You have to go into settings and change it to a full resolution transfer if you want to do anything with the video afterward (Watch or re-edit).
